Hey everyone,

I'm Mike and I'm currently writing a short film that will be made sometime next year. I've been writing today and I remembered reading a a couple of years back about a Thylacine sighting in the UK during the 70s.

Although this is unlikely to be genuine it obviously stuck in my mind and it is referenced in the script, although I could leave it in whether it really was reported or not I'd rather not if I just imagined it!

So I was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of any UK related sightings.

Thanks,

Mike

as uk resident, have never heard of a thylacine in UK. The nearest we have is claims of a big cat such as a puma which, if true probably escaped from a zoo or wildlife park

Hi Mike, you're right this sighting occured in Bournemouth, England in 1974. There was some suggestion it may have been a mangy fox. The report crops up now and then in books on big cat sightings in the UK and also in cryptozoology sights on the web.
