What if you did find a Thylacine?

What are the guidlines for protecting the animal from the harm that it endured in the past...

This needs to be seriously considered.

Can anyone help me here?

Second a listing of all sightings need to be made and graded and put on a map...

Thirdly, a method needs to be devised that incoporates long term observation to capture on film the possibility that Thylacine populations still exist. This needs to be done in such a way as there would leave no doubt.

This would include research into knowns about the behaviour of the Thylacine. such as studying: http://www.naturalworlds.org/thylacine/films/motion_film_footage.htm
and the excellent e-book on this site...

A group of like minded people but perhaps with different experrtise need to get together for the promotion of clear thinking methods that would help this aim.

I would for one like to be a part of this group. Is any one else interested? I am based in Sydney and have a small film production company but also do marketing, web design etc and probably good at seeking sponsorship if a smart plan is rendered.

Hi jasons. The answer to your question of, What would you do if you found a Thylacine, is nothing. I mean apart from conclusive photographic, audio and any other tangible evidence,ie: footprints, fur samples or faeces, anybody who really cares for the animal would not disclose the location of their find because if you think about it, it and obviously others would have survived for over 60 years and no doubt mans intervention would end their natural existance. As for the many millions of dollars offered the above evidence would secure your right to it all and more, making it only a matter of time after the media attention worldwide for the state of Tasmania to be swamped by those seeking your valuable find. So what do you do? Like a lot of us who have seen a Thylacine, You live with the knowledge that it's alive and thats the way it should stay.
